To support our rapidly growing and dynamic firm, we are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Business Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing research, business and financial analysis, and financial modeling in support of complex intellectual property projects and deal-making. Duties can be segmented into the areas of strategic consulting, patent licensing and patent sales/acquisitions activity.
The ideal candidate will have a business or economics degree with related experience in conducting research, business analysis, and financial modeling (i.e. pro forma, Monte-Carlo, etc.) on companies, products, markets, and industries within a corporate IP organization or as an analyst at a top tier consulting firm, market or industry research firm, or investment bank. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a deep passion for both technology and business.
Specific experience in IP valuation and patent analysis in support of patent licensing programs or related projects is desirable but not required. Solid organizational and project management skills, a results-driven orientation and self-starting disposition as well as excellent communications skills are also highly desirable characteristics that are well-suited for this position. Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is required.
